For three days this month, the 68th Annual Jacksonville Boat Show will have vessels galore for attendees to view.
Ski boats, fishing vessels, and a wide variety of other recreational water vehicles will be on the premises.
The Jacksonville Marine Association is hosting the event. Through special days like this, and its website Boatjax.com, the organization provides boaters in Northeast Florida with resources and information.
During the show, the association will also be presenting brief informational sessions on safe boating to help educate adult attendees. On the second day of the event, there will be a women’s fishing clinic.
The first 121 children at the event on the Saturday will be given a free life jacket. Kids can also enjoy amusing activities. Due to the large number of exhibitors at the boat show, brochure printers were likely asked to make trifold handouts for businesses to pass out.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 12 and under. Additionally, admission is $8 for seniors aged 55 and over, and military with proper ID. Sea tow members cost $9.
The show will set sail on January 23 from 11:00am to 8:00pm, January 24 from 10:00am until 8:00pm, and January 25 from 11:00am until 5:00pm. It all takes place at the Prime Osborn Convention Center, located on 1000 Water Street.
