Many Canadian “snowbirds” travel to Florida for the winter each year, and Air Canada will now feature a flight that will make it easier for them to travel to Jacksonville and the rest of Northeast Florida, and for Floridians to experience the Ontarian capital.
Starting this spring, Air Canada will offer non-stop flights from Pearson International Airport in Toronto to the Jackson International Airport. This service will be offered throughout the year, and will mostly run on the weekends.
The expected Toronto departure time is 9:20 am, with touch down in Jacksonville set at 11:40 am. The Jacksonville departure time has been set at 12:15 pm, with the arrival in Toronto expected to be 2:55 pm.
A spokesperson for Air Canada noted that the airline is pleased to be able to provide its customers with this new service. A printer can create a variety of ad specialties that can be used to promote the new non-stop service to those who are interested in making the journey.
Air Canada currently does not have any direct flights to or from the northeastern portion of Florida. Steve Grossman, who is the CEO for the Jacksonville Airport, remarked that he hopes this new service will see a lot of use and that it will result in the addition of more non-stop air service from Air Canada for both business and leisure travelers.
