Publishing careers highlighted in writers monthly meeting

The monthly meeting of the Florida Romance Writers will be held in Fort Lauderdale, a short distance from Hollywood such that residents will want to make sure they attend to learn more about this month’s interesting topic.

The speaker will be Karen Kendall who will provide her insight on “How to Survive Your Own Publishing Career”. She will discuss how difficult it is for writers to risk repeated exposure and possible failure by writing. However, writing is how connections are made with readers who are looking for stories about what makes people who they are. She will talk about how to stay on course in one’s career and how to re-invent oneself as an author.

Kendall has written over 20 novellas and novels for several publishers and has received awards such as R.T. Magazine’s Top Pick, the Book Buyer’s Best and the Write Touch. She has also been featured in various publications including the Gulf Coast Times, the Sun-Sentinel, and the Boca Raton Observer.

The meeting will be held on Saturday November 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Place. A hot buffet breakfast will be served. The cost is $20 for member and $25 for non-members and advanced registration is required.

Direct Mail printing is one way that the Florida Romance Writers can promote the event for its members and non-members who are interested in long-term careers in romance writing.
