The City of Hollywood will hold a special celebration for its yearly Christmas parade at Hollywood North Beach Park.
The Candy Cane Parade is an annual family-friendly event where people can enjoy festive activities in a safe environment. 2026 is Hollywood’s 100th anniversary, so the city will give the parade a special theme of Journey Through the Decades to match the occasion. Local 10 will also be broadcasting the parade live for the first time. The Hollywood Fire Rescue will hold a toy drive during the event, so attendees are encouraged to bring new unwrapped toys as donations.
After the parade, a special performance by Making Faces will be held at the bandshell at the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk. The band is from West Palm Beach and is known for its unique blend of rock, reggae, and funk. The group has released many original songs, such as Put Your Roots Down and So Not Normal. Making Faces has performed at several notable events, like the Red, White and Boom Festival and Turtle Fest.
The Candy Cane Parade will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 7:00 pm. There is no cost to watch the parade or go to the live concert. People can bring their own lawn chairs to the event. The Garfield Garage and Nevada Street Garage will have parking for the parade and concert. Cities that hold similar seasonal activities may use banner printing to improve the visibility of their programs.
