Two special events will be taking place in Hollywood at the end of this month.
The first is a shredding day that is being hosted by the Office of the City Clerk, Records and Archives of the City of Hollywood. It will be held at the Boulevard Heights Community Center.
There will be employees of the City to help with unloading papers. Residents of the City need to prove by means of a driver’s license, tax bill, or utility bill that they live in the City.
Each household can bring a maximum of three Boxes of paper records. DVDs, CDs, plastic binders, heavy binder clips, and other such items will not be accepted, although the paper items can have staples and paperclips.
As this is a drive-up event for paper shredding of personally identifiable paper and records, routine household recycling of newspapers and magazines will not be accepted.
In addition, shoes, clothing, and other items such as small household and kitchen items and linens will be collected by the Salvation Army of Broward County on the day.
The date for the shredding and collection is Saturday September 26, from 8:00 am until noon, or until the capacity of the trucks has been reached. The City and the Salvation Army may be working with a local Print company to Print a flyer or leaflet with more information promoting these events.
