New Hollywood stop added to Water Taxi

The 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill of the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is a new stop of the Water Taxi, according to its president, Bill Walker.

Walker said that it is part of his business plan to bring people to the Hollywood area so this locale will be a hub for this service. Those who board the water taxi at the 5 O’Clock will be able to stop off at three additional places in Hollywood—the Crowne Plaza hotel, the Diplomat Resort and Spa, and Joe’s Market.

Water Taxi has been serving the Hollywood area for several years but the new stop is expected to attract a large number of people given the popularity of the hotel, which opened in September.

There will be two boats that will go back forth between Fort Lauderdale and Margaritaville beginning this month, with service starting in the morning. The first boat on the northern Fort Lauderdale route will leave at 11:15 am, and the first one on the southern Hollywood route will depart the Margaritaville stop daily at 10:15 am.

Water Taxi is promoting the new Hollywood route with a $16 all-day pass. It may also be using flyer printing companies to Print materials with more information about the routes and schedules.

Cate Farmer, General Manager of the hotel, said that this stop will add a new dynamic to the Bar & Grill and will be enjoyed by its customers.
