New Hollywood hotel to hire hundreds

The new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is planning to open this summer and will be holding a job fair this month.

The resort will have 349 rooms and is 17 stories in height, offering 30,000 square feet of convention space, an 11,000 square-foot spa and fitness center, ocean-side pools for recreation and lounging, and eight restaurants and bars.

Two of the restaurants, the LandShark Bar & Grill and the Margaritaville Restaurant, have already posted Signs outside their properties. Other restaurants planned at the hotel include JWB Prime Steak and Seafood, the Lone Palm BeachBar, and the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.

There will be 44 suites, 151 king rooms, and 154 queen rooms, with rates starting at $259 a night.

A spokesperson from the hotel said that hundreds of people are expected to be hired. The fair will be conducting interviews for serving staff, including servers, bartenders, and hostesses; hotel operations, such as front desk agents and concierges, housekeeping, and attendants for the spa, fitness, and pool facilities. Many of these employees will most likely require business card printing once they are hired so as to promote the new hotel and resort.

The job fairs will be held from June 23 to June 25 and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Hillcrest Golf and Country Club in Hollywood.
