Measuring society holds open house for the public

The Coordinate Metrology Society recently announced that, as part of its annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference to be held in Hollywood at The Diplomat Hotel later this month, it will be hosting Hollywood Metrology Days.

This will be an open house in the Exhibition Hall of the Conference and will be free and open to the public. It is designed to be educational and to generate interest in the field of metrology, which is the science of measurement. This could provide a new career path for adults and industrial professionals, parents, students and teachers and those with a background or interest in engineering, manufacturing, mathematics, and programming.

There will be more than 45 original equipment manufacturers, service providers, software developers, and other companies involved with industrial coordinate measurement and technology. A wide range of portable measurement technology solutions, such as laser scanners, GPS systems, and laser projection systems, will also be on display. The Society may want to use a catalog printing service to create a list of all these items that attendees can take home and peruse.

The Coordinate Metrology Society is the primary membership association for measurement professionals, and includes manufacturers of low deviation industrial measurement systems, peripherals, and service providers.

The open house will be held on Wednesday July 22 from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, and on Thursday July 23 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
