Hollywood workshop to help new business owners

The Hollywood Beach Culture Community Center will be holding a series in August to teach people about starting businesses.

Simple Steps for Starting a Business is a live four-part workshop created by SCORE Broward where guests can learn the fundamentals of opening their own stores, with guidance from a knowledgeable presenter. The topics covered include conducting market research, developing marketing plans, and how to use financial statements. The course will also assess the skills of participants and teach them the basics of creating a strong brand. Each session is sponsored by the City of Hollywood.

The instructor for the series will be George Gremse, the current chapter chairman of SCORE Broward. He has been in senior management positions at several companies, such as Hertz Rent a Car and Adecco Staffing. Gremse is also the president of Jolizmo Consulting and Investments, Inc. and a Liberty Health Sciences’ board of directors member. Professionals like Gremse may use business card printing to provide potential customers with their emails and website links.

The workshop will be held every Thursday in August and will begin at 6:00 pm. Each presentation from Gremse is open to the public and free to join, though guests should register for the series in advance. Attendees must send an email containing their license plate number to the organizers if they want to receive free parking at the venue.
