Hollywood to hold lung cancer conference

A Hollywood beach resort will host the 20th Annual Winter Lung Cancer ConferenceĀ® for oncologists in February.

Those who work with patients impacted by lung cancer can attend a multi-day conference led by thoracic oncologists to learn from international experts while sharing their personal experiences in the field. The program is intended for oncologists, though nurses, physician assistants, and others in the healthcare industry can attend. The co-chairs of the conference include Julie R. Brahmer, Rogerio C. Lilenbaum, and Mark A. Socinski.

Guests will learn about many subjects during the lung cancer program, such as cancer screenings, adjuvant therapy, and KRAS mutations. Many of the presenters at the conference include professors from notable universities such as the Yale University School of Medicine, the Emory School of Medicine, and the University of Texas. There will also be a Giants of Cancer CareĀ® Lecture led by Roy S. Herbst, a member of the Tobacco Task Force and American Association of Cancer Research.

The conference will be held at The Diplomat Beach Resort from February 3 to February 5. Physicians can pay $75 to register for the program in advance or $125 to register on-site. The cost for nurses and other healthcare professionals to attend will be $50 in advance and $75 at the resort. Organizers for medical conventions like this may use brochure printing to make programs that contain presentation schedules.
