Hollywood to experience Caribbean cuisine

Caribbean Village Entertainment will be organizing a festival in December at the Hollywood Arts Park.

People interested in trying Caribbean-inspired dishes can attend the Caribbean Food & Rum Festival. The event is presented by the Galleon Foundation and features four talented chefs who will be creating food from destinations like Haiti, Jamaica, and Tobago. Attendees can taste dishes such as lobster fritters, conch salad shots, curry potato, and guava duff bites. The festival will also have seven special cocktails made by an experienced mixologist.

Guests can experience several kinds of entertainment while at the festival, such as live performances by singers like Alison Hinds, Peter Ram, and Patrice Roberts. There is also a KidsVille for children to play at during the event that has a rock wall, bounce house, and eating contest. A portion of the ticket sales for the Caribbean festival will go towards benefitting the Galleon Foundation. People who represent charities like this can promote their cause with poster printing.

The food festival will take place on December 12 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. General admission to the experience will cost $60, which includes access to the concert and limited samples. Those who pay $85 will be allowed into a special tasting lounge with servers. Admission to the VIP lounge will cost $175. People can also rent a cabana during the festival for $2,000.
