Yellow Cab is presenting Hollywood, Florida’s, 3rd annual Scavenger Hunt, an event that lasts for three days and takes place throughout the city.
Scavenger hunts are old-fashioned games, but participants will need smartphones to get in on this one.
In order to compete, players will have to scan QR Codes, answer questions, upload photos, and use GPS to check in to complete missions and earn points. The idea behind the event is to have players learn about the city while having a good time and meeting others.
Most of the tasks to be performed during the hunt are open-ended, giving people the entire event to finish them. However, several have to be finished within a specific time, but players won’t know what these are until the game starts.
Both individuals and teams are invited to play, but if a group participates, it need to designate one person to manage the phone. Only the person who has downloaded the ‘Scavify’ app will rack up mission points, and only one account is allowed per team.
All a player needs to do is download the free ‘Scavify’ app, then create an account and search for ‘Hollywood Scavenger Hunt’. New missions will be sent out every morning during the event.
The Scavenger Hunt is scheduled for December 15, 16, and 17, and is free to participate in.
Participants in an event like this have an opportunity to take photos that make for unique Holiday Cards.
