Hollywood race to help youth of Haiti

Hollywood will organize a race in November to help raise funds for the Hollywood Cares For Haiti organization.

The Hollywood Runs For Haiti 5K is an event where people can offer their assistance to those in Haiti impacted by the AIDS epidemic. The race takes place at Hollywood North Beach Park, and the course will be a flat road surface. Free parking will be provided to guests, and children who participate in the Kids Dash will receive a goodie bag from the Children's Medical Center. The event aims to raise $5,000 for its cause.

Hollywood Cares For Haiti is a non-profit group that was formed in 2006 to help support the children of Project Papillon. The organization has helped people by donating clothing, computers, and other supplies to support programs in Haiti. Since its formation, the nonprofit has earned the Irving J. Fain Award and has received grants from the Sam Roosth Foundation. The organization also holds fundraising events like Hollywood Healing Haiti at the ArtsPark.

The charity 5K will be held on Sunday, November 6 from 6:30 am to 8:15 am. The cost to join the 5K is $40 per person, though discounts are available to those who register before November 6. Children may enter the Kids Dash for $10. Non-profits in charge of races like this can promote themselves at the event by giving away promotional Pens.
