Hollywood gets new shuttle

People will now be able to catch a shuttle for a ride around Hollywood, without paying a cent.

According to a recent announcement, the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and the City of Hollywood have joined with Circuit, which was once known as “The Free Ride,” to put the “Sun Shuttle” into service. The shuttle vehicles are electric, environmentally friendly, and available free of charge and on demand. Banner printing can be used to create decorations to celebrate developments like this.

The Sun Shuttle travels several routes connecting Federal Highway, Hollywood Beach, and Hollywood's downtown, and can transport as many as five riders at once.

People who want to grab a ride can do so in one of three ways. First, they can download the free “Ride Circuit” app, and use it to request service from a driver within the service area. Second, they can flag down a Sun Shuttle, and third, they can wait at one of the designated Sun Shuttle stops.

The shuttle operates every day of the week. Sundays through Thursdays, the hours are 10:00 am until 9:00 pm, while Fridays and Saturdays the hours are 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. Although the service has been running on a limited basis since spring, it only recently was put into place at its full capacity. The Sun Shuttle is replacing the Hollywood Trolley, which is a paid transport option.
