A popular festival in Hollywood includes a great day out for families, and a good cause.
Visit Lauderdale is presenting the 2nd Annual Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival, taking place in several cities. For Hollywood residents, this means The Grand Tasting is taking place at ArtsPark Hollywood. During the event, there will be tastings of beverages and food, live music, and cooking demonstrations. Among the food vendors coming to the Tasting, who apparently will also be available to the Family Day event, are Abita, Aruba Beach Cafe, Cubanito Picantico, and Temple Street Eatery.
Simultaneous with the tasting event, which is for those 21 years of age and older only, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is presenting Family Day at ArtsPark Hollywood. The event is a toy drive for the hospital, but also includes lots of fun including live entertainment, cocktails, food trucks, and kid-friendly events, some of which involve food, and some which do not.
The Family Day event is free, but the hospital would appreciate the donation of a new and unwrapped gift of any toy for a patient in the children's hospital. People of all ages are welcome to attend.
The Family Day at Arts Park event is scheduled for August 9, from 12.00 pm until 5.00 pm, at the ArtsPark at Young Circle. Flyer printing is an excellent means for creating handouts that can list the vendors at this type of event.
