The town of Hollywood is set to host its annual Candy Cane Parade this December.
The event specializes in hosting local organizations and businesses as they showcase their best and most creative in a band-style parade. The show is open to all members of the public, and participants are welcome to be as ingenious as possible for their parade floats.
The event offers prizes and awards for competitors, including Best Themed Entry, Best Children’s Entry, and Best Nonprofit. The affair stands as a fun way for the community to come together to support each other and local businesses.
The event was set up in the 1950s by local store owners in a bid to attract customers. Since then, it has evolved into a staple of the local community, giving residents a festive event to look forward to when beginning the holiday season.
It begins at the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk, where it will head south along Harrison Street. Patrons may gather at the Hollywood Beach Theatre where an emcee guides onlookers through the procession. The event incorporates a diverse range of performances, including local artists, marching bands, and community organizations.
Banner printing can be a great way for participating businesses to be viewed by attendees at events like this.
Free to attend, it will take place on Saturday, December 2, starting at 7:00 pm. The venue is located at 200 Johnson Street, Hollywood, Florida.
