The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida, has begun an intense transformation that promises to leave the hotel a complete destination resort.
The final cost of the project, expected to be completed in January 2017, is estimated at $100m.
The resort lies between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, and currently has 1,000 guest rooms. After the completed renovations, the property will become part of the Curio-A Collection by Hilton hotels. These hotels are specifically chosen because of their character.
The new features of the Diplomat Beach Resort will include freshly redesigned guest rooms, outdoor and indoor public spaces, a spa, and more than 10 fresh culinary concepts.
A launch event in New York City gave guests a chance to try out some of the new flavors that will grace the resort’s Menus, including craft cocktails and tastes from Playa, Point Royal, and Portico Beer & Wine Garden. Point Royal may be of particular interest to celebrity chef fans, since Geoffrey Zakarian’s Coastal-American dishes will be available there.
Along with the improvements in guest features, the resort will include over 200,000 square feet that will be available for a variety of different functions. A meeting space will also be available.
When resorts and vacation destinations undergo this kind of extensive transformation, they often visit printing companies to redesign much of their marketing and paperwork.
