Those who would like to try their hand at pottery have an opportunity close to Hollywood next month.
Mingo Makes It is the organizer of this course. This Florida-based organization creates personalized pottery for businesses and also offers classes and programs for children and adults who wish to develop their pottery sculpting skills. Admission for the course is available online at a rate of $200 per individual.
Participants from Hollywood can attend four classes over the course of four weeks that teach the basics of creating various styles and shapes of ceramics. Class one will focus on how to center clay on wheels, class two will be about designing different shapes, class three is on attaching and trimming, and the final and fourth class covers underglazing and glazing. The hosts of in-person courses frequently utilize brochure printing to produce class handouts for each student.
This beginners’ pottery course is set to begin on Wednesday, February 3 and run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Mingo Pottery Studio in Fort Lauderdale. The three subsequent classes will also be two hours long each and will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on the weekend. Extra practice will be available between Tuesday and Sunday from 12:00 pm to midnight at no additional cost.
