Downtown Hollywood will become a showcase for arts and collectibles next month, during the evening Art Walk. Residents from throughout the city will enjoy shopping, art and entertainment from local area talent.

The event will feature live music throughout the evening, with performances on the main stage by Deep Fried Funk Band, Moonlight Thief and the VAM Band.

Attendees will have the option to participate in several guided tours, organized by the downtown Visitor Center. Starting at 6:00 PM participants will learn the history of the downtown’s Mural Project. At 7:00 PM Choose 954’s Evan Snow will host a tour of the city’s art gallery. Local artist’s will be on site to showcase their work throughout the evening.

At 8:00 PM local artist Daniel Pontet, and Resurrection Drum’s Jeff Lee, will participate in a special Impulse Art performance. During the show, Lee’s rhythmic drumming will guide Pontet to paint a picture with his feet.

The outdoor artisan’s market will feature art works, crafts, specialty boutique items, vintage wares, collectibles and jewelry from local vendors. Restaurants and food trucks will also be open during the event.
