An artform rarely seen these days is the centerpiece of an event now scheduled for Doral.
Doral Glades Park will be the place for people to be if they would like to learn the art of blacksmithing. Participants will be able to forge a keepsake of their own this Father’s Day, even if they have little or no experience in the craft. Instructors will introduce the art and explain basic hammering techniques, which attendees will then be able to put into practice for themselves. Organizers of events like this can use brochure printing to create instructional materials to explain the craft.
The blacksmithing workshop continues for the entire weekend, and features four sessions each day, for a total of twelve. Only 10 people will be allowed to attend each class, so anyone interested should register as soon as possible because of the limited space. Classes are open only to residents of Doral, and children 11 and younger will not be allowed to attend. Children 12, 13, and 14 years of age must have an adult accompany them.
The event takes place June 19 and 20. Sessions on the first day are 9:00 am until 10:30 am, 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm, and 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm. The same hours will be offered on Sunday. Registration opened earlier this week and the fee is $5.
