A restaurant chain known for its wine pairing dinners has scheduled a new event in Doral.
People who enjoy discovering new wines and the foods they complement should explore the upcoming dinner at Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants Doral location. This dinner is meant to evoke the feeling of a simple “ranch” style meal, paired with wines from Washington State.
Guests will be able to start their meal by creating a summer “smash” with a stone fruit they choose, followed by corn bread with apple butter made with a Riesling wine, then a beef course. A shaved beef brisket will be served with Yukon gold potatoes, baby arugula, and paired with Old Vin Zin, a zinfandel.
Short ribs with a spiced BBQ sauce will be accompanied by cheesy smashed potatoes, and an edamame and sweet corn succotash. The wine for this course is the vintage the restaurant is highlighting this month, Horse Heaven Hills.
Dessert is a blackberry and peach hand pie served with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and Bourbon Anglaise, paired with a Moscato, a sweet sparkling wine.
Diners have additional options for beverages, and can substitute wines on the restaurant’s menu for those suggested. Additional wines or cocktails may also be purchased.
The “Evening on the Ranch” dinner is scheduled for August 18, from 5.00 pm until 8.00 pm, at the Cooper’s Hawk on NW 83rd Avenue. Organizers of events like this often use flyer printing to create decorative Menus and inform attendees of the food and drink pairings.
