An award-winning comedian and actor is coming to Doral.
Jeremy Piven is best known for his work on the television series “Entourage,” in which he played Ari Gold. His performance won him a Golden Globe and three consecutive Emmys. He also appeared in the supporting role of Spence Kovak on the sitcom “Ellen,” and starred as Mr. Selfridge in the TV series of the same name, which was a co-production of Masterpiece/WGBH and ITV Studios.
Piven was born in Manhattan and raised in Evanston, Illinois. His parents were both drama teachers and actors, making Piven’s choice of career a likely one. He trained at the Harand Theater Camp in Wisconsin, at Piven Theatre Workshop in Illinois, Drake University in Iowa, New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, located in Waterford, Connecticut.
Piven’s first major role was on “The Larry Sanders Show” on HBO, where he was a regular. After that came roles on “Seinfeld,” “Ellen,” and “Cupid.” His film appearances have included “RockNRolla,” “Runaway Jury,” “Black Hawk Down,” and “Grosse Pointe Blank.”
Piven is scheduled to appear for five shows at the Miami Improve Comedy Theater in Doral. He is planning two shows on February 14, another two on February 15, and one on February 16.
