Doral is putting two events together for one special day.
The Downtown Doral Art Walk is entering its third year. As before, the family-friendly event will feature both regional and local artists, who will provide an interactive and fun art experience for those taking part in the walk. Artists working in a number of different media will display their work at booths set up for the event, as well as demonstrating their techniques to visitors.
The Art Walk takes place close to Earth Day, which makes the celebration doubly exciting. Earth Day actually falls later than the celebration, but the event is on the weekend to allow more people to participate. Earth Day began in 1970, as a way to make people aware of environmental issues, and support efforts to protect and enhance the natural world. On Earth Day, many people get involved in clean-up efforts, plant trees, or simply enjoy being outdoors.
In its first year, Doral's combined event put a flash mob, food trucks, raffles, live music, art work, more than 60 local exhibitors, and more, together for over 1,200 attendees to enjoy.
The Art Walk & Earth Day event is scheduled for April 18, and will start at 7:00 pm in the Downtown Doral Park on NW 53rd Street. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for attendees at events like this, listing exhibitors and vendors.
