An upcoming dinner in Doral will celebrate things both old and new.
The Countdown and Cabernet: A Toast to Bold Beginnings is a wine pairing event hosted by Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants. The restaurant will be featuring Carne Rosso, its December Wine of the Month, which will be paired with a three-course meal.
The evening begins with a cocktail based on bourbon, accompanied by parmesan bread served with parmesan cheese and garlic butter. The salad course is a Stracciatella Arugula and roasted squash, candied pistachio nuts, and gala apples salad, dressed with aged balsamic vinegar. The wine with this course is Lux Sparkling.
The rich main course is butter-poached lobster and filet medallions served with grilled asparagus, potatoes with caramelized onions, and a Béarnaise sauce. This will be paired with the December wine, Carne Rosso.
Finally, dessert (for those who have room left) will be a Chocolate/Raspberry Silk Pie, with hazelnut ganache, chocolate mousse, Grand Mariner, and a Crème Anglaise, finished with a raspberry sauce. The wine for this course is Nightjar.
The dinner is scheduled for December 27, beginning at 7.00pm. Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant is located at 3585 Northwest 83rd Avenue in Doral. The dinner is $100 per person, and is limited to those 21 years of age and older.
