A new hotel, the Residence Inn & Suites by Marriott, opened in Doral with a ribbon cutting ceremony recently. The opening was also celebrated with a Great Gatsby-themed party.
The Residence Inn, an all-suite hotel, offers 129 suites and is designed for travelers who are away from home for extended periods of time. According to Diane Mayer, who is the global brand manager and vice president of Residence Inn, it is the goal of the chain to give guests the room they need to spread out, relax, and maintain a healthy balance between work and leisure while they are away from home.
To help in this, Residence Inn offers both studios and one-bedroom suites. Guests who seek refreshing sleep will like the mattresses and linens the hotel has chosen, while those who are focused more on work will enjoy a work desk with good lighting, an ergonomic chair, and free Internet access. Since the hotel is designed for travelers who will stay there for at least five days, the suites also have fully-equipped kitchens including dishwashers, microwaves, stove tops, coffeemakers, and residential-sized appliances.
The Doral hotel is located near the Port of Miami, Dolphin Mall, and Florida International University. It's also only eight miles from Miami International Airport.
