Christianee Porter, who is also called 'The Christi Show', is originally from Little Rock but is now based in Atlanta. Coming from a family of entertainers, it was not surprising that she began performing, singing, and writing for anyone who would listen. In order to put on a show, she recruited her siblings to run cameras, sing background vocals, or anything else she needed. A leading role in the classic play “A Raisin in the Sun” convinced her to pursue a career in the arts.
Porter moved to Atlanta to pursue singing, and like many aspiring artists, her road to success made some detours into jobs such as waiting tables, teaching preschool, and working as a nanny. She let her dream of singing professionally go, but still wanted to perform, so she took classes in improv and began doing stand-up comedy. In 2016, she began to post videos of her routine online, and they began going viral. In particular, her character Ms. Shirleen got raves, she began touring, and her career took off.
A review says:
“. . . she is always funny and on points with what's going on around us today and I love it.”
Christianee Porter will be at the Miami Improv in Doral on December 6 at 7:00 pm. Poster printing can provide advertising for events like this.
