Funnyman to call in on Doral

A Miami-based comedian will be on hand to entertain Doral audiences soon.

Cisco Duran is an entertainer who calls himself a:

". . . big, black, bear of a stand-up comedian . . . ."

He moved to Miami at age four, and began his career in comedy when he was 21. Two years later, he was a finalist in the Florida’s Funniest Comedian competition, and Sunpost.com later included him in its list of Top Ten Comics.

He has numerous credits including “Hot Off The Mic,” streaming on the Quibi platform; “Gotham Comedy Live” on AXS TV; América TeVé’s Minuto de Fama; and “Hart of the City” on Comedy Central. He also appeared on “Entre Nos” on HBO, where he and Abi Sanchez won the second HBO & NYLFF Annual Latino Stand-Up! Comedy Competition. Duran gave a humorous take on the positives and negatives of being Dominican and black. He also surprised viewers with his explanation of the perks he enjoyed when he gained weight.

He took part in the Bucharest Comedy Festival in Romania, and was finalist at the Big Sky Comedy Festival. Duran currently tours with Carlos Mencia, and performs at corporate events, colleges, and clubs. Club management can use brochure printing to create programs for events such as this.

Cisco Duran will be at the Miami Improve Comedy Theater in Doral on March 6 at 8:00 pm. The event is limited to those 21 years of age and older.
