Doral officials recently announced that the city has teamed up with FreeBee to provide on-demand, green transportation to visitors, businesses, and residents.
FreeBee's fleet comprises electric vehicles, which are available weekdays from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, for trips around Downtown Doral. All a user needs to do is download the app, use it to request a ride, pick a destination, confirm a pickup time and place, and then enjoy the stress of not having to drive. FreeBee plans to expand its current routes in the coming months to such popular locations as CityPlace Doral. Companies like this can work with brochure printers to create informative pamphlets.
At present, FreeBee will pick up or drop off riders within the area bounded by NW 58th Street, NW 79th Avenue, NW 51st Terrace, and NW 87th Avenue. FreeBee will also connect to the City of Doral Trolley, so riders can make connections to CityPlace, and the Metrorail Station. It also stops at Downtown Doral Park – a major green space in the heart of the city.
FreeBee operates in South Florida, offering people an alternative to gas-powered vehicles. In addition, businesses of all kinds can advertise on the side of a FreeBee car, from national chains to local shops. FreeBee is an advocate of “going green” and supports South Florida's Climate Action Plan by providing rides that use clean energy for power.
