An upcoming event will give people a chance to enjoy themselves as they learn about safety.
The National Night Out & Back to School Night is now on the schedule for Doral. The National Night Out is a nation-wide campaign that encourages camaraderie among neighbors and promotes community-police relations with the end goal of making neighborhoods safer. The event also gives people the chance to interact with police under positive conditions. Flyer printing can be used to create informative handouts for events like this.
Millions of people in all 50 states, U.S. military bases, and the U.S. territories take part in the fun. Neighborhoods get together to host cookouts, parades, festivals, block parties, and other events. Exhibits and demonstrations of safety equipment, youth events, and seminars are often part of the festivities.
In Doral, National Night Out will give residents a chance to learn crime prevention techniques, and to discover more about safety awareness. Event sponsors will hold giveaways, and the police will provide demonstrations. Backpacks will also be distributed at the event, though they are limited to Doral residents only. Parents will need to pre-register to receive backpacks for children of school age. A maximum of two Bags per household will be given away. Registration is already underway and will continue as long as supplies last.
Doral’s National Night Out will be held next Tuesday, August 3, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at the Doral Police Training and Community Center on NW 97 Avenue.
