A conference on remaining safe in cyberspace will be held in Doral, Florida, with the Minority Chamber of Commerce acting as host. Organizers encourage businesses of all sizes to attend to learn how to defend themselves against cyber-attacks.
Experts at the conference will assist businesses of all types to develop, evaluate, and strengthen their programs for cybersecurity. They'll also discuss the best way for businesses to work with law enforcement personnel when an incident occurs.
A panel of experts from financial services, the private sector, and law enforcement will share insights into how businesses can keep both their information, and that of their customers, secure. Among those attending will be Kevin Parker, the FBI representative for cyber security for South Florida; the Federal Reserve Bank's Jorge Rodriguez; and Steve Detwiler, who is with Miami-Dade County's Emergency & Preparedness Office. Each of these security experts will draw on their experience in their field to offer insight into enforcement and operations, emerging technologies, protection of digital assets, and law enforcement.
The conference is set for January 27, 2017, from 11 am until 2 pm, at the Hotel InterContinental on NW 87th Avenue in Doral.
