Doral is planning events that will bring fun and cheer to the downtown area as the city gets ready for the holidays.
First up is an evening in which thousands of lights will illuminate Government Center and Downtown Doral Park on NW 53rd Street, to start the festivities. A drink cart will be on hand to supply hot chocolate, and there will be live entertainment as well as seasonal sweets. Children can take part in various arts and crafts, as well as having the opportunity to write a letter to Santa. Mrs. Claus will also be there to join the kids for story time. The evening culminates in the official Tree Lighting ceremony for the city.
Later in the month, Doral will celebrate with its ‘Holiday Lights & Ice’ event, which will be held in the Doral Central Park on NW 87th Avenue. Snow-making machines will turn the park into a Winter Wonderland as they dump tons of snow on the area. In addition, there will be live music, food, and rides.
The park lighting and tree lighting ceremony is set for December 6, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Holiday Lights & Ice will take place from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on December 13. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for wide distribution to inform interested parties of events like this.
