A workshop being held at the Chamber of Commerce Training Center may bring the dream of becoming an author a little closer for some Doral residents later this month.
Manny Sarmiento of New Media/New Marketing will be holding a workshop on everything related to producing and publishing a book. This will be an all-day event that promises to teach attendees ‘How to Write, Publish, and Market Your Book in 29 Days or Less’.
The first section of the workshop is ‘Writing YOUR Book’, and it covers everything from the reasons why people want to write, to how to structure, outline, and edit the book. The second part deals with publishing the book, including weighing up the options of self-publishing over traditional publishing. Additionally, this part of the program goes into publishing on Kindle. The last two sections deal with marketing.
It takes place on Saturday, May 31, beginning at 8:30 am with registration and networking before the workshop begins at 9:00 am. An important aspect of an event such as this is the opportunity it provides for networking, so attendees may want to come prepared and, if necessary, contact their business card printing service so they can stock up.
