Doral-based Carnival Cruise line’s gift cards will soon be available to those on land, as well as on board their ships.
Carnival has long had gift cards available on its cruise ships for onboard purchases, but the cards are now to be sold in more than 9,000 stores throughout the country. Through its partnership with Blackhawk Network, the gift cards will be carried by Kroger, Giant Eagle, and Safeway stores over the next few weeks. Publix stores will also start carrying the cards once 2015 gets underway.
Going on sale just in time for the holiday shopping season, the gift cards will provide friends and family of those planning a cruise with a suitable gift-giving option. The cards can be preloaded in amounts up to $1,000 or as little as $25, and can also be purchased online. In addition to being able to use the cards towards the purchase of a cruise, they can also go towards onboard purchases as a ‘Sail and Sign’ card.
Cruise lines, which rely to a large degree on the services of brochure printers, may consider adding information about the availability of the gift cards in their next line of Brochures.
