Museum announces cutback in dates for Sushi and Stroll series

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach announced that the Sushi and Stroll series will be limited to only two remaining events this summer.

The reason for cutting out the June and August event is because of the unpredictable summer weather, and historical data shows that July was the best option of the three.

The series, which started 16 years ago, has grown from originally only having a few hundred attendees to now seeing from 1,200 to 1,800 people at each event. Not only has the number of attendees grown, but the organizers are adding more and more entertainment options for the guests.

The museum, which likely worked with local Print shops, is offering Sushi and Stroll T-Shirts that will be available for purchase during the event. Other items will be on sale as well through the many vendors who will be on site in Sunset Square.

Visitors will can purchase tickets for any of three nightly performances by Fushu Daiko, a taiko drumming group. The performances will be held at 6:30 pm, 7:15 pm, and 8:00 pm. Tickets for the performances are only sold at the event. Food and drinks will be available for purchase as well.

The next Sushi and Stroll event will take place on July 12, followed by September 13. Both events will run from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Admission tickets can be purchased in advance or at the event. The museum is located at 4000, Morikami Park Road.
