Parents and loved ones of children in Deerfield Beach can help them develop their expressive artistic styles in an exploratory weekend art class for children.
The Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department has announced Kids Creative Studio. This activity is designed for kids ages 6 through 13 and is a two-hour workshop in which student learners will work with acrylic paints and other craft media. Several media techniques will be discussed, including the use of varied texture, style, and colors. Poster printing is often used to promote events such as this.
The Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department’s mission, according to its website, is to bring a variety of rich cultural programming to Broward County. The department produces and sponsors programming in music, digital media, dance, theater, and film. Bailey Contemporary Arts Center is its flagship performance venue, housing a dozen art studios, large exhibition spaces, and educational classrooms as well.
Kids Creative Studio will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The venue is Bailey Contemporary Arts Center, the address of which is 41 Northeast 1st Street in Pompano Beach. Tickets are $34 and can be purchased on the Eventbrite listing. Parents should note that a check-in form must be signed in order to drop children off; they are not required to stay during the class.
