A popular festival will return to Deerfield Beach this spring to give visitors a taste of life in 16th-century Europe.
The annual Florida Renaissance Festival will be held for the 34th time for eight weekends in February and March. Participants can mingle among hundreds of craft artisans, view reenactments of medieval joust matches, and enjoy food fit for royalty. With over 100 performers and 12 stages, event organizers have scheduled blown glass demonstrations, pewter artisans, leather workers, and wooden toy creators. Other activities for patrons include axe throwing, archery, a rock wall to climb, and even a basketball toss.
The event has received accolades for its quality several times in the past. The International Foods and Events Association (IFEA) has bestowed its IFEA Pinnacle Award to the festival three times. Additionally, it has received the South Florida Parenting Kids Crown Award four times. The event is organized by Bobby Rodriguez Productions, an event production company based in Fort Lauderdale. Poster printing helps promote business at public festivals.
The Annual Florida Renaissance Festival will occur on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from February 7 through March 29, from 10:00 AM to sunset. The venue is Quiet Waters Park, located at 401 South Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach. All tickets are for one day of admission and can be purchased on the event website. Discounts are available for seniors and active military personnel. Rides and games incur an additional cost and are payable by cash only.
