The Southeast Regional Firefighter Challenge Classic will be coming to Deerfield Beach in August.
Firefighters who want to participate in the U.S. National Championships for the Firefighter Challenge can compete in the Southeast qualifying round in Deerfield Beach. Many categories of firefighters may take part in the competition, including volunteer firefighters, cadets, and junior firefighters. The event will be open to firefighters from several states, such as Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, and Alabama. The host hotel for the event is the Wyndham Deerfield Resort.
Challengers can take on the event’s course in several categories, like the Fire Department Showdown Category, Tandem Category, and Individual Category. The maximum time to complete the course will depend on the competitor’s category. All athletes will be required to wear several pieces of gear, including a helmet, boots, gloves, and a three-layer coat. Hoods and face shields are not required to compete in the Firefighter Challenge.
The firefighter competition will be held from August 20th to August 22nd. Firefighters who want to participate in the contest can pay $60. There is no cost for guests to watch the competition. Those who want to support the event may volunteer to reset the course and manage the refreshment area. All volunteers must be at least 13 to help with the competition.
