This August, potential homeowners in the Deerfield Beach area are invited to the Virtual First-Time Homebuyer Workshop presented by Debt Management Credit Counseling Corp.
Debt Management Credit Counseling Corp. (DMCC) is a nonprofit credit counseling organization based in Fort Lauderdale. Utilizing certified counselors trained in financial education counseling and repayment plan advice, the organization is dedicated to helping customers improve their financial literacy so that they can gain control of their personal finances. Programs offered include personal budget counseling, debt management counseling, bankruptcy counseling, and housing education.
The event in August will be a virtual workshop, so people can attend in the convenience of their own home, and it will guide potential homebuyers through the process of purchasing a home for the first time. Topics to be discussed include steps of homeownership, fair housing, budgeting, mortgage prequalification requirements, title requirements, home inspection, credit analysis, grant assistance, and the closing process.
Participants will be emailed the link to attend when they register. After completing the workshop, attendees will receive a First-Time Homebuyer Workshop certificate and a free counseling session.
