Deerfield Beach to host online event for new homebuyers
The Virtual First Time Home Buyer Workshop is set to take place in Deerfield Beach next month.
The Debt Management Credit Counseling Corp. (DMCC) is the organizer and host of this remote online event. DMCC has been a local Deerfield Beach company since 1999 and regularly offers services and programs such as debt consolidation proposals, financial education, and counseling. The organization’s goal is to provide residents in the area with the knowledge and tools they need to manage major purchases such as home buying, or deal with debt or bankruptcy.
The seven-hour Virtual First Time Home Buyer Workshop is designed to help Deerfield Beach individuals and families navigate their first home purchases. The class will include topics such as budgeting, fair housing, how to look for the right house, the process of obtaining ownership of a home, title requirements, grant assistance, credit analysis, how to qualify for a mortgage, the ins and outs of home inspection, and how to prevent foreclosure. The participants involved in virtual events often use printing services to produce copies of relevant digital information to refer to throughout the event.
First-time homebuyers are welcome to register for this class at $25 per person. Taking place online, the workshop is scheduled to be streamed from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 13.
