Deerfield Beach to hold womens bike ride
This August, Alpha Cycling will host the August Alpha Women’s Ride event for women cyclists in the Deerfield Beach area.
Alpha Cycling, in collaboration with Bicycle Generation and Boca Raton Triathletes, will host a special women’s cycle event that will be open to all women with road bikes. All skill and experience levels are welcomed as it will be a no drop ride, which means that no participant will be left behind should they have a mechanical failure or cannot keep pace. The ride will be an ideal opportunity for novice riders to gain experience and learn how to safely ride in a group.
The ride will be 30 miles long, with select cyclists riding sweep behind to help slower riders. There will also be a sag wagon riding behind the group in case a cyclist cannot continue the ride. For more experienced riders, there will be an option to add distance before and after the ride. After the race, refreshments will be provided at Bicycle Generation, as well as raffles of gifts from sponsoring businesses. Promotional products are often distributed at such events.
