Deerfield Beach will hold the 10th Annual YATC Cool Wheels Car Show next month to give car enthusiasts a chance to show off their wheels while also benefiting charity.
The car show will benefit the YATC, or the Youth Automotive Training Center, which was founded in 1984 by automotive legend Jim Moran. The center provides a tuition-free, nine-month training program for disadvantaged youth to teach them basic automotive skills, along with advice for life management and job readiness.
On this milestone year, the show is expecting to show over 1,000 cars and give out 100 plus trophies. There will be cash prizes of $1,000 for Best of Show, $500 for second place, $250 for third place, and Club Participation Cash. T-Shirts and giftbags will be handed out to the first 300 registering cars.
For spectators, there will also be chances to win prizes and Promotional Products from raffles. Other entertainment includes a silent auction, music from DJs like Rockin’ Rich, Scott the Music Man, and DJ Eugene, and a live performance from Southern Blood Band.
The show is scheduled for Sunday, January 16 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Quiet Waters Park, Bald Eagle Shelter, on 401 Powerline Road. Pre-show car entry fee is $20, while the day-of entry fee is $25. The only charge for spectators is a parking fee.
