A golf and pickleball tournament are coming up in Coral Springs next month.
The first annual Taiwan Double Ten Pickleball Tournament was created to not only celebrate the National Day of Taiwan, but to increase interest in the game among the Taiwanese/Asian community.
Although geared towards Asian Americans, all are welcome. Registration is $35 and a minimum of four to five games per team is guaranteed.
The tournament will take place on Saturday, October 12 from 1000 am to 8:00 pm at Riverside Park, 205 S Coral Ridge Drive. Men's divisions will begin at 10:00 am and go to 2:00 pm, and mixed divisions will begin at 3:00 pm and end around 7:00 pm. The venue will offer 10 outdoor hardcourts with permanent nets.
Later in the month, the Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation FOP Lodge 87 will be presenting its 32nd annual Coral Springs FOP Golf Tournament. Breakfast and registration will begin at 7:00 am, and the shotgun start will be an hour later at 8:00 am. Beverages and hotdogs will be available on the course. Lunch will be served at the clubhouse after play.
Raffle tickets may be purchased when registering. Local businesses that contribute to raffles like these often put their logo design on the donated items.
The 2024 Coral Springs FOP charity Golf Tournament will take place Friday, October 25 from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Country Club of Coral Springs, 10800 West Sample Road.
