Police to hold golf tournament

Coral Springs Police Officers Foundation FOP Lodge 87 will be hosting its 30th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the end of October.

Proceeds will go to college scholarships, as well as to other community charities and outreach programs supported by the lodge.

The $500 registration fee will be for teams of four. Individuals can contact the event coordinator to be placed on a team. Three timeslots (7:30 am, 7:38 am and 7:46 am) will be available and can be assigned when tickets are purchased. To keep proceedings flowing smoothly, half the teams will begin on the first hole and the rest will begin on the 10 hole.

A breakfast will be provided by Manhattan Bagels and Chick-Fil-A. Hot dog and drinks stations will be on the course during play and a beverage cart will circulate. As each team finishes, team members will be served lunch at the clubhouse.

Raffle tickets will be sold during the first part of the event and winners will be drawn before teams finish play. Winners will be posted and prizes can be collected at the clubhouse.

Organizations that hold events like this often have pictures taken of the winners. These photos then go to local Print shops to be added to the organization’s advertising materials.

The tournament will be on Friday, October 29 from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm at the Country Club of Coral Springs, 10800 West Sample Road.
