The 17th Annual Festival of the Arts will be coming to Coral Springs towards the end of March.
Attracting from 30,000 to 40,000 attendees, the festival will present a juried craft and art show. Along with the 175 American contemporary crafters and fine artisans, the festival will offer music and dance performances on two stages, as well as literary and theatrical presentations.
Artisans and crafters selling their works at festivals like this often get their business card printing done beforehand so they can slip updated cards in with purchases. Proceeds will go to benefit community non-profit artistic endeavors.
This year’s signature artist will be Susan Greeley. Winning for the fourth time, Greeley will receive $500 and a booth at the festival. Her winning “3 O-Clock on the Alley” entry can be found on this year’s festival advertisements.
As part of the festivities, the Northwest Regional Library will present Brad Meltzer as speaker for its Literary Program. Meltzer is known for his 15 bestselling thrillers, including The Escape Artist and The Lightning Rod. He has also written non-fiction works and the kids’ series Ordinary People Change the World. Meltzer will be speaking Friday, March 17th from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
The 17th Annual Festival of the Arts will be March 18th and 19th at The Walk, 2600-2920 N University Drive.
