Coral Square and The Motherhood Village will be presenting Back to School Family Fun Day in early August.
A Fashion Showcase will have live mannequins displaying the latest in kids’ back-to-school wear from Windsor Tilly’s, Hollister, and Macy’s.
Various mall stores, Broward Public Library, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and the Young at Arts Museum will have arts and crafts for the children.
Local educational resource vendors will be onsite selling educational products and services, from innovative teaching materials to interactive learning tools. Others will be interacting with the community to show their services and programs, such as hearing screening and after-school programs.
Many vendors that offer educational supplies often have a colorful graphic design with school-related images such as school buses or children playing, which they have printed on all paper products.
Children can go on a school supply scavenger hunt around the mall. They will be searching for essential school supplies hidden around the venue. Guests will get the chance to win a the grand prize of a back-to-school gift basket.
The three-hour event will hold a school supply drive for the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.
Back to School Family Fun Day will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, August 5 at Coral Square, 9469 West Atlantic Boulevard. Admission will be free.
