The City of Coral Springs, in honor and remembrance of those affected by attacks on American soil over the past few years, will host a family-friendly Coral Springs Remembrance 5K Run/Walk in mid-September.
The family-friendly team-oriented event will have awards for the top three male and female finishers overall, and the top female and male Masters. There will also be awards for the top three female and male finishers in 16 age categories ranging from 0-5 years up to 65 plus. Team awards will be handed to the teams with the most members from Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, EMT/Paramedic departments, and most team members of a local club. All finishers will receive medals. Gun Ttme will determine the overall results and net chip time will determine the age-group awards.
Groups that enter events like this often like to get matching T-Shirts printed with the group’s logo design to show unity.
Registration will be conducted onsite, and will be $40 for individuals, $15 for students, and $20 for emergency service personnel.
Parking will be available in the Coral Springs Charter and Charter Garage, 3205 N. University Drive and the Butters Building, 311 N. University Drive.
Coral Springs Remembrance 5K will be Saturday, September 11 from 7:00 am until 10:00 am, beginning and finishing at Coral Springs Northwest Regional Library, 3151 N. University Drive.
