Coral Springs Remembrance 5k will be a community event to honor and remember 9/11.
All participants are encouraged to register early and will receive T-Shirts sporting the event logo design and medals upon completion of the run. Early registration will be $30 for individuals, $20 for emergency service personnel running in the race and $15 for students ages 19 and under. On race day, the rates will remain the same for students and emergency personnel but will go up to $40 for individuals.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers, overall and in 16 age categories. Team awards will go to most members to sign up for fire and rescue, law enforcement, and EMT/Paramedic departments. There will also be awards for a non-department team with the most members.
A post party at the end of the run will feature food vendors selling their specialties.
The Coral Springs Remembrance 5k will start at the Coral Springs Regional Library at 3151 N. University on the corner of University Drive and Sample on Saturday, September 7th. Registration will begin at 6:00 am and the race will begin at 7:00 am. The cut off time will be 8:30 am. Strollers will be welcome but must start at the end of the line.
