Coral Spring’s annual Holiday Parade and the Coral Springs Holiday Mile have been scheduled for mid-December.
More than 60 entries will reflect the theme "Lights, Camera, Selfies!” in this year’s parade. The parade route will begin at Coral Springs Drive, proceed down Sample Road, and end at City Hall.
Spectators may bring blankets and lawn chairs and find viewing spots along Sample Road, or can check out local shops and restaurants. There will be handicap seating available at the viewing area at City Hall and at the intersection of Coral Hills Drive and Sample Road. City Hall garage, 9500 West Sample Road, will have free parking and some handicap parking.
Right before the parade, runners will gather in front of CVS at the corner of 10494 W. Sample Road and Coral Springs Drive to participate in this year’s Coral Springs Holiday Mile. Pre-registration is $15 and registration of race day will be $20. Awards will be given for the top three finishers in 20 age divisions, best team time, most team members, and largest school team. Everyone is invited to wear their Christmas best.
Holiday race winners often pose with their trophies for pictures. The photos can then go to Stationery printers to be added to family Calendars or made into custom Holiday Cards.
The Parade will be Wednesday, December 15 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Coral Springs Holiday Mile will begin at 6:15 pm the same day.
