Coral Springs enjoys local free concert

Coral Springs will host a free in-person outdoor 2gether @Sunset Country Music Concert. The family-friendly concert has been scheduled for the end of May, and will take place rain or shine.

Although the gates will open at 5:00 pm, proceedings will not begin until 6:00 pm when Line Dancing will be called by DJ “NACHO” from Fort Lauderdale Round-Up Night Club. At 7:10 pm, School of Rock will take to the stage.

From 7:15 to 8:00 pm, singer/ songwriter/country/pop artist Emily Brooke will be opening for the evening’s feature entertainment - the Tom Jackson Band. The band will probably play some of the tunes from its latest album, Knee Deep in Country. The album includes Kinda Hurts, Emily, and Back of My Truckbed. The band will play from 8:15 pm until 10:00 pm.

Pod seating will accommodate four guests in each group, with Coral Springs residents getting priority. Pods will be spaced apart to observe social distancing. Proof of residency will also allow attendees to use the parking area.

Food may be purchased from onsite food trucks. Local businesses often sponsor vendors like these by putting their logo design on napkins, and other paper products. Lawn chairs and coolers will not be permitted.

The concert will be from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 29 at Sportsplex’s Tom Messenheimer Field, 2575 Sportsplex Drive.
