Gold Coast Aquarium Society will present its two-day AquaExpo toward the end of October.
More than 50 local aquarium store vendors, aquatic plant cultivators and private fish breeders will be showcasing their goods and services.
VIP Early bird ticket holders may enter the event at 10:00 am on Saturday. Regular tickets holders will be admitted at noon.
Classes will be held every 30 minutes. Vadin Shmah will give a class on killifish for beginners at 12:30 pm and that will be followed at 1:00 pm with a question-and-answer session about tropical fish. Chuck Davis will talk on keeping plecos at 1:30 pm and Sue Kishi will discuss aquarium chemistry at 2:00 pm. Caring for plants will be discussed at 2:30 pm, keeping livebearers at 3:00 pm, aquascaping demonstration at 3:30 pm followed by keeping catfish and breeding topical fish.
Sunday the doors will open at 11:00 am, and the topics for the classes will include information on livebearers, killifish, rainbows, Cory Catfish, and tropical fish. Aquarium chemistry and maintenance will be at 2:00 pm and sellers will be offering last minute deals starting a 3:00 pm. The show will close at 5:00 pm.
Individual VIP Early Bird two-day tickets are $25, Family VIP Early Bird two-day tickets are $35, and general admission will be $7. T-Shirts sporting the AquaExpo graphic design are available online for $35.
AquaExpo will be October 22nd and 23rd from at La Quinta Coral Springs North, 3701 N University Drive.
